BABYLON FIRE To Release 'Dark Horizons' In November

September 20, 2012

Manchester, U.K.-based metallers BABYLON FIRE will release their full-length debut, "Dark Horizons", on November 12 via Rocksector Records.

Formed in 2007 on a foundation of IRON MAIDEN and BLACK SABBATH, extended into the territories of STONE SOUR, MACHINE HEAD and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, the band learned, developed and ultimately emerged with a signature sound which has helped them deliver an uncommonly mature and multi-dimensional debut with both hooks and depth.

Although now a four-piece, founding members Ryk Swillo (bass),Rishi Mehta (guitar),Will Reece (guitar),Mark Cooper (drums) and Mark Dunford (vocals) set out with the simple intention of writing dynamic, powerful and heavy songs with an emphasis on melody. This was the basis for a self-released four-track EP in 2009. Around this time, the band also increased its presence on the live circuit including support slots with ORANGE GOBLIN, BLAZE BAYLEY, HEAVEN'S BASEMENT, PANIC CELL, BEHOLDER and FURY UK.

Recorded during May-June 2012 at MCC Studios, Mottram, Cheshire, U.K. with producer Andy Giblin (I-DEF-I, PROFANE, KILL II THIS),"Dark Horizons" is a raging and ferocious, yet diverse, slab of heavy metal.

A free MP3 download of the track "Shattered Crown" is immediately available at the Rocksectorweb site.
